Finally got the rear wheel puller yesterday.  The splines on the wheel and hub look good and well greased.  I haven't pulled the diff yet.  Thought I would work on the exhaust a little while everything is so easy to get to.  Will have the caliper finished Monday evening and ready to go back on.  Will flush the rear brake system as well.  I hope the ujoint and splines look as good as those on the wheel.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Big Al, I sure hope it is in good condition!  I haven't ridden the fat lady in a few weeks now and I'm getting withdrawals pretty bad.

Old2soon, thanks for wishing all goes well.  I suppose I should have done this 4 months ago.  Right now I'm looking at doing more than needs to be done while she is on the lift.  But I need to ride, man!

The caliper is back together and ready to install.  I'll bleed the rear brake tonight and pull the diff and look at the driveshaft and ujoint.  I have the seals and all to go back together.  Get everything cleaned regreased and maybe back together by Friday.  I have to teach this weekend but I may get to ride it to class Saturday and Sunday.  I was too busy riding all winter to down the ole girl; but probably should have anyway!

With the help available on this board i was able to do all required maint myself. Well this board a clymer manual and a honda service manual. Some one else said-the first time is the learning curve. After that a little easier. It really isn't as hard as your mind is telling you it is. uglystupid2 RIDE SAFE.

This isn't really that hard so far.  It is my first time doing maintenance on a Valk.  Just taking my time and reading my manuals to make sure I don't miss anything.

It's just that reading all the posts about this for the last couple of years that I've owned my fat lady seem to intimidate the crap outta me-

I know that I have to just jump right in with eyes wide open but......
