Medic, Real nice job, your bike looks great Two questions. 1. Have you changed your tires on the chromed wheels yet, or is that the first set on the chrome? did you notice any damage to the chrome or corrosion under the bead? The reason I ask is I want to do this, but have been told it will corrode at the bead? 2. Did you shim your bags out? They appear to be shimmed out towards the bottom? I installed the same bags and had to grind a little material off the forward left bracket to clear the rear caliper. Real sharp looking Valk 1. Rear and Front have both been changed once since the rims were chromed but not by my own hand. Rear during a cross country trip in 2009 (unfortunately didnt get many miles added on her in 2010) and the front has just been replaced..both by motorcycle shops. No issues noted to the naked eye after the tires replaced, cant comment on underneath. As mentioned before I had JP(Hard6) do my wheels on a trade out but not sure if he's doing any work again yet. I used him after hearing stories about chromers not familiar with the Valk not leaving clearance for the bearings and JP installed new bearings after the chroming. 2. The Edge detachable brackets are made to have attached bags angle out at the bottom for clearance. Their newest brackets (Gen III) are made to fit multiple bikes and bags so I think the angle is generic to cover the most needs. Takes a little gettin used to IMHO but I really like detachable setups for the clean look when they're off and the added ease for maintainence.

To be honest the Leatherlykes had had it. I bought them used, already had the conchos cut and they took a beating during my cross country ride in 2009. One had a stained area that I couldn't get rid of completely from something and one started to have a stress crack around the mounting hole. I liked them, but if you go with them I would definitely search out the mods folks have done to reinforce the mount holes (spread the load across the bag more). If you overload 'em they will crack (I never did the mod). Also follow Leatherlykes instructions on the care, if followed they will stay looking like new.

I've been happy with the Kury Sound of Chrome setup. My only other experience was seeing and hearing BikernDivers Rumble Road setup. Both have good sound. You will loose a good portion of the sound at highway speeds (60+), but I think most of the small diameter pre-amplified sets do the same, The Kury's are pricey..but I fell in love with the look & finish.
