At least not in Indianna.  If you live in any other state it will be interesting to see what happens when it is appealed into the federal system.

I think that the following comment from the link is very accurate:

Quote
There’s a political science term for a nation which ceases operating according to its most fundamental laws and responsibilities: failed state. And you’re right that the populace are complicit. We’ve repeatedly demanded the state curtail our civil liberties, all in the goal of Keeping Us Safe.

I also think that this famous quote is very accurate:

Same reasons I have major problems with TSA's searches.  But that's another thread,

As stated in the dissenting opinions, if the other justices had restricted their opinions to the domestic violence reason for the case, the dissenting justices would have voted with the majority.

So where is the fedral government on this one.  A state can't protect itself from illegal immagration because the feds say so.  A teacher can't be fired for wanting to leave their job in the middle of the school year for three weeks to go on a religious pilgrimage because the feds say so.  But upserp the 4th Ammendment of the Constitution and the feds are silent.  Don't see Eric Holder jumping to protect this right.

Oh it must be a unpopular won't get us any votes thing. What a wacky world we live in.
