The enlisted guys may have won the annual softball game against the officers, but they lost the public relations war.    Here’s how I wrote it up for our naval base’s Plan of the Day:  The officers powered their way to a second-place finish, while the noncoms managed to finish next to last.”

That's a typical officer statement.  And they wonder why they are generally despised by the enlisted.

Not all of them are despised. The good ones were around-you just had to find them. I was fortunate to serve with good C Os and execs. For some reason or another-good pilots seemed to make good officers-mostly. The bad ones got bad efficency reports. Those are career killers. Not really that simplistic but you get the idea. RIDE SAFE.

Where does it say the writer is an officer?   I guess I missed that.
