Just curious if there is a way to read the latest unread posts if I start to do so, then sign out and later sign back in.
The main reason I am asking is that when I log out all the latest unread posts no longer show as unread posts.
So far all I can find is paging through the 50 of more pages of posts.
Thanks for all the hard work and great new format.

Duey,

If you click "Show Unread posts since last visit" at the top of the page, thats exactly what it does.  For example, if you visit the board in the morning, click show unread posts since last visit it will show you anything new since your last visit.  Lets say you don't actually read any of them because the boss called and you had to shut it down for a few minutes.  When you load up the board again, it might only show 1 or two, or even none when you click that link.  It is that way by design...unread posts since your last visit.

Now, as you might know, the board knows what THREADS have new posts that you haven't read.  If you view the board index, it will always show "New" next to threads with new posts you haven't read yet.  At least until you have read them, or you select to mark them read....

Not sure thats the answer you wanted, though I think I did answer your question.

i'm NOT Scott....but how about this.

when you read a new thread....it has the BLUE button that says "new" by it. Read as many replies in that thread as you wish BEFORE logging out. Then, RIGHT before logging out, IF there are unread replies further down in the thread....mark the last one you read ....BEFORE you stop reading the rest of the replies...as "MARK UNREAD"...which is a button at the top of the thread.

when you come back, if you click on the blue "NEW" button in the thread, it should take you to the one you marked as unread..........and you'll be right where you left off........

UPDATE. rats....that just marks the whole thread unread. Don't think there is a way for the board to know which REPLIES...within a thread....you have or have not read...........

oh well, Scott has already answered this i see above....that rascal is fast.........

Thanks Scott. That answers the question.
I tried the Mark as unread thing suggested and got the same results. Marks the entire thread. Helps but annoying. It is just easier to page through the pages looking for the new and stated.
Thanks for all the info.
