Hey TX, you know I'll be there.  Going down on Thursday afternoon and staying til Sunday.  Right now looks like about 6 of us that will be camping somewhere around where the Paradise Bar used to be located.  They say they are relocating it this year.  Would love to hook up with you during the stay.  Look for the very rare, fast orange/black std sitting next to the all black std.  There will be a VTX 1800 there along with a coupld of other "off brand" (hehe) bikes.  My cell is 469-595-3222 iffin you get there and can't find us. New member from Austin will be there for 3rd year, GREAT time!   Email or call cell (216-401-1650) if you need anything while in town, happy to help. Let me know where to look you guys up, and if you'll be in the parade on Friday night to downtown.

considering going to ROT with another female rider on Friday, leaving Denison around 2:00 is (depending on work schedule).  Can anyone give me any motel/hotel suggestions?  Anyone else going that late that would like to hook up for the ride down?

Last I saw the nearest hotel/motel was in Temple or south to San Marcos.  Good luck on finding a place to stay in Austin.  Holler at us when you are there. L

THANKS for the welcome messages, I'll look you guys up during the ROT. On the Hotel question, try the Courtyard by Marriott on I35 just south of town (south of 71/I270, also known as Ben White Blvd).  Their number is 512-912-1122, or the one downtown, their number is 512-236-8008.

If you can't find one or want something cheaper, email me at jerry_meade@ahm.honda.com, and I'll be happy to call around for you. I live here in Austin and travel the area regularly, so i should be able to help and find one.

There's a huge parade from the campground to downtown Austin on Friday night, and then the downtown area is closed off for hundreds of bikes, so it's a great time in the heart of Austin that night.

Hope to see and meet you all, and again, call my cell for any issues or emergencies that weekend, I'll be happy to help!
