Congratulations Tulsa Tall Windscreen is what I have and Zero Buffeting. There is a vendor that supports this board that has an Impressive array of windscreens, try them maybe., The test I read on the Kawasaki, placed it head to head with a 96ci Ultra Classic and the Harley won. So you made a very good choice. AL

I have a showchrome w/s on mine 2 in taller and 8 inches wider than stock. I can just see over it if I have to in fog or rain. A buddy has the Tulsa that is 4 in taller than stock, loves it except in the rain or fog cause he's too short to see over it. I have lowers and bakers on mine and no buffeting at all.

Last saturday the honda-kawasaki-yamaha-can am dealer had test rides(sign a waiver and take FULL financial responsibility) for the machine you wanted to ride. Kaw 1700 2010 gold wing and something from yamaha. If it wasn't for a pushy salesman. Long and short of it was that 1700 kaw was NOT that well liked. 20 riders there and 10 took it out. Thet were on h/d honda and the other three were there. Mixed reviews on the wing. Sides being cold that day-the salesperson was wanting to sell me a new bike. Got tired of explaining the valk was paid for(the day i bought it) and did not desire a payment option. My bud in the parts dept got me a Honda-i wanna ride t-shirt. They all looked nice-sat on the kaw and just wasn't for me. Got back on my phat ghurl and we fired up and never looked back. RIDE SAFE.

I was out yesterday on my 1999 Interstate and kept thinking this is an amazing motorcycle. Especially for being 12 years old. Only thing a newer bike would have is fuel injection and maybe a 6th gear.
All the best,
Mark

Excellent judgment, great choice..... better bike, much less money, easier to maintain two bikes you are familiar with. Just remember to double up on the orders of maintenance items.

Congrats on getting the fastest IS of the bunch. I got the Clearview GT medium and can see over the top with minimal buffeting. Look at the available inventory at the bottom of the link. Good bargains available. http://clearviewshields.com/shop/product.php?id=34

Congrats on the new-to-you bike. I found the best way to lower the buffetting for my bride was a set of lowers attached to the forks. I also have the Show Chrome wide/tall windshield and the Bakers on. But adding the lowers took the most buffeting away. Just my experience

before i got my cycle i wanted a goldwing, my wife hated the goldwing, she said "it's a grandpa bike" and she wasn't ready to be a "grandma". the only thing she's said about the Valkyrie is "IT'S SO BIG!!" (but then again, she says that every once in a while.....) i'm so glad i didn't buy a goldwing. this cycle will do EVERYTHING a goldwing can do and it'll do the one thing a goldwing won't do, and that's get a total stranger to walk up to you in a parking lot and say, "wow, that's a hell of a nice cycle" goldwings are a dime a dozen, this cycle is one of a kind.
