Sometimes HD really is ahead of the curve in marketing and culture selling (even if its not ahead of the curve on its bikes).

My wife was invited to a friend of her family's wedding.  She was telling me about it. I was tuning it out and nodding. Then she said that they were already married so they were just doing a reception. I heard, "food, food, cocktail wieners, food, punch, food" and kept nodding.  THEN she said something about a bluegrass band. I heard food and music.  I started liking these people more than ever (I think I've met them at some point some time). Then my wife mentioned they were holding this whole thing at the HD shop parking lot Saturday afternoon. Then my wife asked if I would mind giving her a ride. I was just nodding along. It wasn't really a question anyway, she assumed I was going because she wanted to, fine.  Then my wife said she wanted to [exact quote] "...pull up between those v-twins riding a F6 flat engine and see the looks on their faces..." I heard, "I love you."
Yup.
I gots a good one! coolsmiley

With the profit margins that HD has enjoyed over the last few years I'm sure they can afford to throw the best bashes & events.
The big 4 Japanese bike makers should take a lesson from Harley's marketing gang!  cooldude

You are a lucky man indeed!
