She is almost ready to Ride, Again!

Got a late start last night but I managed to get the back wheel back on the Valk, torqued the axle nut to 81 ft. lbs. installed the rebuilt brake caliper with new pads. Tonight I hope to bleed the brake, put some fresh Amsoil gear oil in the diff and ride it around the area to make sure everything is working properly. Then change the engine oil and filter when I get back. The left bearing was a little ruff so I installed a new double roll bearing to replace it. Had the spacer cut down before I reinstalled the wheel. She is just about ready for the summer! I have to change the oil in the truck and replace the alternator on it; the rear bearing is going out on it. Then change the blades on the lown mower and grease all the fittings on it. My memorial weekend is already planned!

Its a whole lot easier to change the oil in the final drive while you had it off......try it next time. Just makes no sense to deal with tubing and funnels if you dont have to

Chris, I was told just that by SmokinJoe and actually forgot until I had it on. Next time I will do it before it goes back on.

Check that rubber boot one more time when everything else on the bike is done and you've had your short test ride.
