Can I reuse the banjo bolt washers on the rear master cylinder?  Are these rubber or brass washers?

The first time I rebuilt my calipers, my rear one leaked at the banjo bolt. Turns out I was
too timid to tighten that hollow bolt as much as it needed to be tightened. I saw that it was
leaking (just barely leaking) before I rode off, so there was no bad.

The washer in question is a "crush" washer, and it does crush some when used. There's an
assortment pack of copper crush washers at Advance Auto, and there's a couple in there
that are just the right size for Valkyrie banjo bolts, I'm sure you can get the right size a
bunch of other places..

If you use the 3/8ths inch ratchet handle instead of the wimply 1/4 incher, you can
probably get away with reusing the original crush washer any number of times...  Wink

bugslayer....you can reuse the washers on the rear banjo bolts...just put them back on the same way (direction) that you took them off...also, make sure you tighten them...if i remember right the torque is:  25 foot pounds.  you will not have a problem with them leaking.  good luck.

Cool! Thats good to know about the washers at Advance Auto. If my old washers leak, I'll see if I can find the ones you mentioned.

I'm waiting for some parts to be delivered, so I can't do anything until they get here.  I just don't want my parts to come in, and then have to order two washers.
Thanks for the help!
