What is the best and easiest way to strip wax off without hurting the paint or custom pin-striping?

There is paint prep, used to take off oils and wax on paint before painting.

Simple dish washing soap also removes waxes and oils.

mcguires, 3 step you can get it at any auto parts store. i have used it several times and it always comes out brillant.

simple answer -- go to your local auto paint store, ask for a quart of wax and grease remover. strips it in one application, will not damage anything. wipe on wipe off solvent, super easy, super fast.

I asked for an easy way, and you all came through. Thanks!   cooldude  I bought a new product and all wax needs to be removed before applying the new.

A lot is going to depend upon the paint used by the guy doing the stripe and whether or not there is clear coat over the work.

The Honda paint is the least to worry about.

I'd suggest just continue to wax and not to worry about it!
