There we were in East Texas. Enjoying the ride, the scenery and of course the food when, after stopping for some more petro, I got a "no-start-a-the-injun boss" report from my starter button. The consensus of the attending brain surgeons (Jeff, Dave and Fred) was that the battery had seen better days. So jump start we did. And, you'll notice from the Wanderer's post, we made it to Tyler Honda for the necessary purchase. Yippee, I got to buy myself a new battery on my birthday!

Tom~ I didn't realize it was your birthday yesterday. I would have let David buy your breakfast had I known! Happy Birthday, Old Man!
How much voltage does that battery show this morning? With or w/o a little trikle charge? ~Jeff

I had no idea it was your birthday, either! You sneaky ol' f@rt. If I'd known, I would have let Wanderer buy your battery! I know, I know, Jeff will claim credit (and rightly so) for initiating the HDL price-matiching on Tom's birthday self-present... Saved enough to buy breakfast for all four of us and then some.
How 'bout a birthday VO & Soda sometime soon?
