well if gaudy is what your looking for i think you found it. try leatherlike bags, they are really nice and have locks on them.

You might consider buying a set of brackets that would accept any Saddlebag style... and are specifically made for quick release.
You can find them on eBay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Edge-Quick-Release-Saddlebag-Brackets-5322-/400218904078?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d2ee7d60e

Buy these and your Saddlebag choices would be wide open.  cooldude

I recently sold my soft bags. They are very sturdy and nice. The interior is "lined" with light-weight Diamond Plate. No brackets needed...
unless you want quick release.

paxton, so the quick release brackets on ebay-they'll fit the valk fender rail?  or do they need to be bike specific?

I have the LeatherWorks 110 with the wide straps and Easy Brackets.  The bags carried most of my stuff on my trip from NorCal to South Dakota last year.  Suits my need just fine.  Here is a picture of similar bags on a Valkyrie.  http://www.leatherworksinc.com/motogallery/Honda.php

I purchased leather bags a few years ago from Leatherneck Jim.  They are thick leather, excellent high quality all the way.  I got them with the quick mount/dismount feature, and each bag has a lock on it.  Very good service too.  No affiliation, etc.  Give him a try.

I believe that Leatherneck Jim's are actually LeatherWorks bags and he drop ships the bags.  It's one way to avoid sales tax if you live in California.

Ive got a set of these bags Im selling that have the backs reinforced with Diamond plate backing and also including the Ghost Brackets setup for the Valkyrie.  Just bolt em up.  Bags are about perfect.  Let me know if interested.  John

The ones shown on eBay "say they are for Harleys," but many of them are universal.
I would guess that the same folks would carry the correct ones for you.

Just "ask (the seller) a question."
