Look at what we have now, a community organizer who never was responsible for anything.   Sarah Palin was governor of Alaska and,  even though the Arsehole media bastages are at her 24/days, did accomplish something. I think she is capable of being POTUS but I don't like her voice when she gets carried away, grates on my nerves.

She is my pick against all that are on the ballot so far. Except for Ron Paul, who has the same chance as Dan Qwuale(HE can't spell it Either)

At Least she is not a sissy like the freakin politicians of todays world.

Reagan could use a chainsaw,Bush could rope a steer, Obama is good at hanging curtains.

So far this election looks like I won't vote FOR someone but AGAINST someone.  From these pics, I have more in common with Ms. Palin than anyone else running.

Just because the current President (IMHO) is a bad one, that doesn't mean Palin would be a good choice.

We can, and must do better then what we've had the last 18 years.  I'm done voting for the lesser of 2 evils.  I vote for the right choice, even if that person has zero chance of winning.  If enough of us do that, maybe our kids or grandkids will inherit a system where you can choose the best person, not the lesser evil of the 2 evil parties.

That may sound naive, but it's not.  It just takes the courage to do the right thing and the patience to wait for the results.

Thank you, Chiefy.  It's not naive to me.  It's principled.

And to all the Palin bashers, her voice and folksy delivery might grate on your nerves, but she's infinitely more qualified to be POTUS than barry.  (and she does look good on that pretty HD!)

Not arguing with you there, and if it was a Palin vs. Obama situation, I'm not saying I'd vote for Obama. I might have to hold my nose and vote AGAIN this year.  At this point, we might be able to get somebody I like to run as a Republican and I'd like to see that happen.

maybe we should change it to 'god helps those that vote for Palin'

don't worry mr SE most people see her as unelectable, I sure don't. maybe we need a valk straw poll?

she has something that no Bob Dole or other aloof repub candidates have and that is she connects with the people. close to the way Clinton did.  Clinton was very personable.

I think she makes the Republican party sound stupid. Seriously, you want to listen to Palin's folksy sayings and "down home" wisdom for 4 years? The chick is a fraud as far as I'm concerned. Speaks to the crowd that's in front of her. I'm not convinced she knows anything more than her handlers feed her or the one-liners she regurgitates in front of friendly audiences.

However, Saturday Night Live will be a helluva lot more funny. lol

I'm writing in Willie Nelson for POTUS, same as I did in '08. What the heck, at least we'd have some fun going down the tube. He'd have the GI's in A'stan handing out tokes to all the ragheads. They'd get stoned and the war would be over in short order. OK, so I'm dreaming, but after all the gov't. confrontations Willie has had over the years he's had more experience in gov't. than obama.

As for the Chicago machine, it's just as corrupt now as it was back in the days of the old Mayor Daley. I lived in that area for a few years when I first got out of the service. I remember Adamowski trying to break Daley's hold on Cook County, but Daley's thugs took care of the election. The Cook County gov't. influence went all the way to the state capitol....and beyond(read D.C.).

She's and airhead.....a cute airhead (lookin' good on the Hog btw), but an airhead nontheless.  That said, if it came down to her and Obama, I'd vote her.  Even an airhead could do better than bend-over Barry.

However, I voted Ron Paul last time....and unless someone better comes along, I'll vote RP again.

I like what she stands for but would only vote for her if it was between her and Obama. He must be the worst president we have ever had. I think any of the candidates would be better than him. I would never vote for him. I am an independent btw so I have no donkey or elephant in the fight.

What's sad is, that in this country, you could see an election between the two of them...

If she wins the nomination, we might as well title the election...

At this point with the information that we have, I'd vote for Herman Cain.  Can you imagine the dilemma the media would be in?

Cain's talk makes a lot of sense to me.  No previous political experience but as he said regarding the career politicians in Washington,  "How's that working for ya?"

Herman Cain is a dangerous guy for the Democrats. He's smart, eloquent, passionate, and has business experience. If Obama was qualified, surely Cain is qualified. He's my choice among the field at this point. Can you imagine Palin trying to debate Cain? No contest.

That's about all the votes Cain will get... three.  That won't beat Obama.  One more buffoon that fancies himself as presidential material.  Fact is, no one worthy of running for president in the Republican party will do so... too many yahoos to contend with in the primary race... and a sitting President who has been doing a damn good job, Republican obstructionism notwithstanding.  2016 is the earliest viable date that Republicans can take the Whitehouse but by then will have pissed off so many people, will lose Presidency and both houses.  My prediction.  Anyone want to bet me $500 that Democrats hold the Presidency, the House, and the Senate after 2012 elections?

Buffoon is in the eyes of the beholder. It's merely an opinion.   However, I  disagree with you on Obama. The FACTS, to me, speak otherwise.   I do not like the majority of decisions that he's made.

As far as betting on who will be president, that would be like betting on who will win the Indianapolis 500.  It's not over 'till the Fat lady sings which makes it Valk related.

That is an incredibly bleak outlook for the U.S.A. !  I can understand why you are not in this country if you foresee such FAILURE !

The only question left would be if the civil revolt would then come before or after the inevitable economic collapse and your scenario would encourage both.

Personally, I don't see what everyone dislikes so much about Palin. She speaks well and I can't see anyone doubting her honesty or integrity. She's may or may not be my pick during the primary but as long as the repubs don't pick a gun control candidate I'll vote for whoever is running against Obama.

All my life I've hoped that one day a regular citizen would again have the chance to win the presidency. Someone from a working family, as in works with their hands. Someone from a rural background who can appreciate the independent, leave me the he!! alone attitude I have and respect. Someone who loves our natural world, and I don't mean because they watch it on TV but because they take their place in it proudly.

Perhaps she intimidates some people by seeming to do all things well but she is what she is.

My question is, why would she run? She has a wonderful family, who enjoys racing, hunting, fishing and independent living. A successful run would ruin that life for her and her family. Camping, hunting, snowmobile racing, fishing with the secret service in tow? I don't think so. The morons of the press hounding her kids and grand-kids. Interviewing her special needs child trying to get him to say something bad?

Most real people wouldn't take that job for anything, only the "made for TV" idiots seem to want it. It's a damn shame for our country too. Our elections seem more and more like 1970's era professional wrestling. All BS, all the time.
