My only surviving sister (I had four), who is 90,  has just been placed in Hospice Care.  She has been on a lot of meds including coumadin ( pacemaker) but now she's been taken off all meds.  Although her kidneys are failing  no dialysis will be done, pain  meds only. She is still at home with her son and is still mentally fine.

Prayers of comfort and peace would be welcome.  She has had a full life and we have talked many times about the 'good ole days' and will continue to do so.

Thanks to all.

Wayne,
From reading of your life and exploits (the ones you share here) you have lived a charmed life. I admire what you made yourself, and if your sister was even half the individual you are, she was a blessing to others as well. I am sad to hear the end is coming, but I believe you will be talking to her again in Glory, just don't go rushing to get there yet. The Lord has too much work for you here still.
My prayers go out to your sister, her immediate family and will continue to do so for as long as you need.
Peace of the Lord to you,
Buffalobill

Sympathies to you solo1...
I've learned over the years that it doesn't matter how you've had them, it doesn't make it any easier to see them go. Even though she's had a long life it's really sad when it's over. Cry

Prayers from MI.  My mother just got out of the hospital yesterday after kidney failure and congestive heart failure.  The doctors seem to have straightened her out for now.  I hope they can do they same for your sister.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Eileen and I have always been close.  I had four sisters, no brothers, and she is the only remaining one.

After the Great Depression our family didn't have money to spare.  In 1940 I wanted a bicycle bad.  Dad and Eileen chipped in and bought me a brand new Schwinn Excelsior bicycle.  Five years later I put a Whizzer engine in it and the powered two wheeled obsession began.

I will be seeing Eileen this PM and I don't think that she knows that she's terminal.  I'm not sure how I'll handle this yet.

Right now, i'm going to take the Vstrom out for a relaxing attitude adjusting ride this morning.

Thanks again, Everyone.
