OK, at our last dinner meeting in Houston, it was brought to my attention that I needed to remove the warning stickers from my gas tank.  They had only been on there since 2002.  Well, as luck would have it, one came off easy, although it has left adhesive on the tank.

The other is not coming off so easy....   Cry

Now, for all of you who have removed your stickers, what should I use to get the last sticker off and to remove the adhesive that is being left behind??

Thanks Mary for the suggestion to remove the sticker...   LoL

WD40 will remove the adhesive and not hurt the paint.

Glad to see this post on warning stickers. I've tried removing the sticker on my tank with a rag soaked with goo gone, left it soak overnight but no luck. That little sticker is definitely stuck on there. I'm sure the goo gone will remove the left over adhesive once the sticker is removed. Any ideas.......  Undecided

A little heat gun or blow dryer on that sticker and it will peel right off.  Follow up with the WD-40 to get the adhesive off and you are good to go.

Ok. I agree with the methods, but this is not federally approved. The only thing that is more dangerous than putting a car tire on a motorcycle is removing the warning stickers.  I'm pretty sure it won't even pass Texas inspection without those stickers.

[Oh, wait. That's in the next presidential term. Nevermind.]  Evil

What Brad said. Heat gun and WD40. Use just enough heat to lift the sticker. Try not to use anything harsher than you have to to remove the adhesive.
