6 June, 1981, I married the love of my life, 30 years later, we're still hanging in there.
We were introduced on my birthday 32 years ago. I have always said she was my brithday present. She's a better person than I am, I'd have run me off years ago. She's put up with 15 years of assignments all over the world in the military, she's followed me around the country as I made my way up the corporate ladder and stayed with me through the hard times. She gave birth to my two babies and didn't seem to mind raising them on her own while I was gone. Yep, she's a keeper. She apparently likes me, I don't know why. She even puts up with my passion for two seater mid-engined monsters and my other love, my Valk. Gotta love her. Her only fault appears to be her taste in men.
Yes, I've been blessed.

Thanks but, I give the credit to her. She has put up with my crap, my hobbies and my attitude for years. I have truely been blessed and she deserves better but settled for me. She has a huge amount of patience and her ability to tolerate me is amazing. Although, I will tell you she fooled me. I thought I was marrying into money. She had her own single wide and a two holer out back. Turns out she owed on the trailer and the two holer belonged to her neighbor.  |

Congrats to you and the missus, Blackram. I'm sure you're much more of a keeper than you say, but I'm also sure that your humility has a lot to do with the longevity of your marriage. Personally, I'm about to celebrate the 15th anniversary of my first divorce  |

Again, thank you. I'll pass this along to the Mrs. If everything goes according to my plan, we'll celebrate tonight and I'll be offering her that second honeymoon. Sure hope she invites me to come along.

I have to say, congratulations on your anniversary. When I read thirty years, I had to chuckle a little ‘cause in the news there’s also another “thirty year” anniversary going on, but it’s not a “good” thing…… |

Thanks for all the replies. I really appreciate it. Lois sounds like a great lady. As far as the Hillbilly Run goes, my work must take priority. Still gotta pay the bills. Much thanks for the offer though. Hopefully, I can return the favor someday. |
