It's that time again...Sunshine Kids are in Central Texas for their Hill Country Adventure and their Motorcycle Rally is this Saturday, June 11th.

Start Time:  9:30AM Arrive - Kick Stands up at 10:30AM  (Ride will take about an hour)

Start Point:  Dick's Classic Garage
                 120 Stagecoach Trail
                 San Marcos, TX 78666
                 512-878-2406

End Point:   Wonder World, San Marcos -- The Kids will eat lunch here, you are welcome to join, but your lunch is on you.

Last year we had a great Centex VRCC showing and all of us on Valkyries who were set up with a pillion seat had passengers.  Apparently, the Sunshine Kids were drawn to the Valks!  Sure would be nice to show those kids a nice ride again.  The more Valks the merrier!

Here's some pics I pulled off of the Sunshine Kids' website from last year...http://www.sunshinekids.org/

Don't forget to bring an extra helmet for your passenger! Smiley

Hey Richard, you'll have to go to Google Maps or something with the address above to find Dick's Classic Garage.  Or you can maybe call the number given and they will talk you in.

I will have to miss this year's ride due to my work schedule.  I really feel bad about it because this is one of the most satisfying rides anybody could ever be on.  It's a big thrill for those kids to climb up on these bikes and catch a little wind.  It may be the only time they will be able to experience that feeling.  I tell ya, each year there seem to be a lot of bikers with "fogged" up googles by the end of the ride. Also...for those attending the ROT Rally, you can make this ride and be back at ROT in time to catch Chicken Shift's set at Paradise Bar.  Giving these kids a chance to experience the thrill of riding a Valkyrie is surely something well worth the trip.

Well, looks like Laser Pat and TX Deb were the only CenTex VRCCers to show this morning.  Thank You!

Too bad to have such a poor showing for such a fine event.

I'm very surprised at not getting any more responses here and only two responses -- Laser Pat being one -- from the email invite sent to the CenTexers.

Sometimes I wonder if I should even bother with this stuff... Sad
