Do you know the etymology (Word history) of the word "Politics"? If you understand the history of the word, it brings everything else into focus...

It's actually a combination of two words... The first part "Poli" comes from the Greek root "Polynamous" meaning "Many or Multiple."

The second part of the word... "tics" comes from "Ticks", which are small, blood sucking insects...

And always remember the pros and cons! If pro is the opposite of con, what's the opposite of progress? Wink
