My Little sister, and she is little, just bought a Spyder for her first Motorcycle. She needs some different risers. The options are out there but some of them are pricey, and some of them require cutting??

What is the best option for small Spyder riders.

Why is she asking me and not the Spyder group? I have no Idea...

I have been looking into all the options myself for the wifes Spyder. There are a few styles to choose from. The one inch block from BPR. She has that does not help much. Risers that you you have to cut the handle bars and add there riser and new bar. Then there is the Helibar that moves the bars up and back without cutting the bars. I am leaning to the helibar because you can add a ram mount or a 12 volt outlet to it. The only draw back is the key does not move back with the bars. Oh and one more they cost $369.00 I would like to see them in person but that has not happend. It is hard to help someone when i am still on the fence. Rivcoproducts.com   ESICProducts.com  KewMetal.com  Helibars.com  I have been doing my research on spyderlovers.com web site It is run by Lammont who use to be big into this site as i understand it.

I have the 3 inch aluminum block type that I like really well and I think I paid around 100 dollars there is several types of risers made and if I had it to do over again I think I would buy the type where you get a new center piece and then use after market handlebars of your choice. I assume your niece has an RS and not an RT which should not need it. Spyderlovers.com is for sure the place to go for information.

Jeff.... we put ESI, 4" risers on FB's ......  I left 2" of the old handlebars... to use for future add ons.... I have since found "take off" 7/8" risers...don't know what they came off of...got em for 10 bucks.... that mount to the stubs.... and have welded tabs onto a 7/8" dragbar that bolt to where the riser would bolt to the triple tree..., and installed it to mount: cb, drink holder, iPod, gps... or anything else ya might think ya need up front..  looks good and works great..limited places to mount things on the Spyder.
the ESI risers worked great and brings the grips up and back just right for miss shorty britches,,....LOL  FB sez she will go pull some pics ta show ya....
hotglue

BTW.... I don't consider anyone short til they have ta cut holes in their underwear for their arms......
