Actually it doesn't and I'm not surprised by it at all. Bin Laden was living in the largest compound in the area across the street from the local Police Station and about 100 yards from the Paki version of West Point. Someone in the Paki Government knew he was there and protecting him. Anyone who doesn't believe that is deluding themselves.

What Pi$$es me off is that our glorious president will probably do nothing at all. And continue giving 2 billion a year in military aid.

I don't believe any of it. I think there's a reason no one has seen a video tape of ben Ladin for years: He's been rotting under a mountain. The fact that he was "discovered" just as Obama's approval ratings hit bottom added to the fact that the body was quickly dumped where no one can examine it just makes me more suspicious. Sure, I believe the Feds shot some woman dead as Mrs Weaver, just to shut her up. This supposed round-up of snitches may be part of a smoke screen, or the Pakistanis may be as fooled as everyone else.
And no, it doesn't piss me off any more than the fact that Americans are still dying in that God-forsaken backwater.

i don't think so. had that been the reason obama would have waited for a time that would benifit his party, like during a re-election, or the passing of some bill. although i would like some muslim group to do a DNA sample of all that blood found in that bedroom to confirm it was binladen blood.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. Pakistan, like any country, wants to maintain a sense of sovereignty. While it certainly doesn't help Pakistan-US relations, they probably did this in an effort to contain foreign intervention.
If something similar happened on US soil, there would be an outcry to arrest people who spied for and allowed foreigners to conduct covert military operations within US borders.
Unfortunately Pakistan is a convenient place to stage and conduct military operations into Afghanistan. It will be the typical love/hate relationship that is common among political/military relationships.

It all falls into place for deeply convicted conspiracy theorists. Obama gets his Muslim Al Qaeda buddies to go along with this ploy to help his approval rating. You can thus show Obama is a Muslim with ties to Al Qaeda, hates America, is the Antichrist, and will bring about the apocalypse. Harold Camping is probably applauding this theory now!

President Obama got bin Laden, unlike his predecessor, and you get your panties in a wad over a hypothetical possibility that you just made up. Nuthin better to do? Need a lesson or two in anger management? Or in connecting with reality?

welll...... we also heard from al queda sources that he was dead and they'd be back for revenge. the timing would have been alot better if it would have happened next year, say sept or oct, since we only have the attention span of 30 seconds like SE said..

I will agree with Bobbo on this but I think SE is giving Obama credit for killing BinLaden and I will NOT! I give the President credit for the decision to not let Pakistan/US relations stand in the way of what is right (during that mission) but the question is if he will continue that way of thinking and tell the Paki's to Packi SAND in their sensitive orifices ! NO MORE U.S. dollars ! We dont have them to give anyhow!

You cant give Obama all the credit or criticize him too much. Hes not hardly responsible for anything. Hes the deligator in chief, the teleprompter king and the prince of "spin"
He says what hes told to say, when he ad-libs he usually says something stupid. He has great writers and he can read a mean prompter but hes just not that smart a guy. If it cant be spun to benifit him then its blamed on Bush.

I dont care what country it is. If the U.S. defends a country . That country should pay to get protection. And pay to get the most durable and fiercest war machine ever constructed. GIVE UP THE OIL !!!!! And fuel the war machine you hired to do the job ! Why and the hell should the taxpayers of the U.S. be the ones sacrificing .

We don't really defend any other nation, except Germany and Japan. The Potsdam and Petersberg Agreements disallow Germany from having an effective military force, so we defend them as an ally. Japan is a similar case. I'm not aware of any oil producing countries we directly defend. We give "aid" to many of them, but that is more of a political and commercial venture than defense. Much of the "aid" we give to foreign governments is more of a bribe or assistance to the opposition in an effort to topple a regime that is politically or commercially uncooperative.

Are you talking about King George? Can't tell the difference, mate. Obama is very smart... Harvard law school graduate... editor of the Harvard law review... wrote two books... whereas George Bush did what?... do you think the fact that Obama is black is clouding your questionable judgments? Seriously, my my viewpoint, you are either racist or a very poor judge of character and intelligence. Every president is responsible for everything. You are telling yourself lies if you believe otherwise... and I know you don't... given the credit you have given Bush Jr.

Your statement would have credibility if you could actually show those accepted foreign loan applications... Otherwise, this sort of conjecture is in the same category as UFO speculation.
