What a great piece...I sold like 700 or so of them. Many tried to copy it but they never included the self centering lock down feature securing the adapter to the jack. So what brings this thread up? I haven't rode my Valkyrie in 3 years and decided it was time to get it out of storage and ride it again. Of course there will be lots of cleaning/polishing to do and with the Valk on the jack with my adapter I can tip it forward and backward (without worry of bike slipping off the jack) to make cleaning easier. Remember this video clip from a long time ago?

looks like it works! after 3 years, you may need to do some "cleaning/polishing" on the inside of the carbs too.

That was job number one in bringing the Valk back to life. They were pretty nasty. Took a lot of soaking and some new slow jets to get it running. Also added a Wix 33033 20 micron inline filter to catch any junk in the tank.

Have one of yours and use it every time I work on mine or other's Valks. Bought it about 9 or 10 years ago. Now if the Larin lift were made as well or if my boy did not try to jack up the side of a half ton pickup with it...

and it still works as advertised. The only problem I have ever had is before I started tying a string on it and looping it over the handlebars to remind me that it was there.

I thought about one but we used one on my friends bike to remove the rear wheel. It would not allow the swingarm to drop low enough. 1 of the upright tabs was holding it from lowering.

I have had your lift for many years, but have never used it like that. Guess I better start bolting the adapter to the lift. I had drilled the holes in the lift way back when. Tipping the bike like that would make detailing a lot easier on the back.

INCREDIBLE! What a great idea/invention. I thought i was really doing something when i (just) installed a NOS Rivco center stand on my '00 IS! Got any ideas how to turn one over on its back to get to the bottom easier??

Can honestly say that I have not seen that lift adapter before now......
I can see where it might come in handy changing a rear tire, but if it doesn't let the swingarm down all the way.... would it work?
Where were/are these sold and for how much.... curious.

Not sure what's up but I have used mine to remove the rear wheel several times. Are you sure you were using a RWS adapter? It doesn't interfere with the swing arm at all and my jack puts it up plenty high.

Sounds like you were using one of those knock-offs as the top of the cradle on mine is more or less level with the top of the cross-member. I never had any trouble myself and nobody else ever complained to me having trouble as you described. Back in the day when I was making/selling my adapters I had a couple of guys send me ill fitting adapters who thought they had an RWS adapter but turned out to be someone else's junk. In any case a real easy fix for the problem you were having would have been to grind down the "tab" so it would not stick out above the cross-member. Everyone has a digital camera...have your friend take a couple of pictures of the adapter he has...I'd like to see it.

Sorry...I quit marketing my designed adapter many years ago.
