Thanks. I have a photo gallery on my personal website that generates a thumbnail and two sizes of photo. I just use BB code to define a table and put a linked image of the thumbnail to the gallery page with the photo.
If you hit the"quote" button on my post, you will be able to see the code.

Pretty close.  Only problem is it looks a lot newer.  Go figure!  You could have gotten a rattle can of of the stock paint color from Colorite.

Yeah. It was $39.95. I got close enough I can't tell the diff for about $17.00. If I decide I don't like this, I can always pop for the can from Colorite. That was my original plan, but I'm such a cheap @$$, that I'll give this a try first.
Ha! and you're right about it looking newer. There's some sort of film all over the bike. I discovered that when cleaning off a spot to color match. That explains most of the color diff you see in the photos. Gently buffing with a little Plastix takes it off. Just got to get off my lazy butt and do it.

I like it better than the first pics. The first ones seemed to be flat, was that by design? Or just the paint, or not sanded/buffed out yet? Either way, I like it! Looks like it was MEANT to be...

I'm getting ready to do my saddlebags, I have single stage paint, figure it will be fine, instead of base/clear. Mainly because I can't decide which way to paint them, and it will cost a lot less, to paint them twice in single stage, than once in b/c. I have a rather big shop, that I can set up a pretty dust-free paint booth, at least big enough for the bags, and can hopefully do a nice enough job, that it won't look TOO amateurish.

It wasn't meant to be flat. The only paint I cold find at Lowe's in the color I wanted was in a flat finish. I had hoped that a coat of clear would gloss up the finish. Additionally, I didn't do a very good job of surface prep with no sanding between coast.
I smoothed it down real good this time before I started, then wet sanded with 300 grit between coats.
Up close and in person, you can still see a little texture on the finish. But you've got to be looking for it. I think it's as good as you're going to get from a rattle can, out in the open air. A pro wouldn't be impressed, but I think I got my $20 worth.

IMO it looks much better with the black scallop on the saddlebags it follow's the lines of the tank much better.

didn't mean to hijack, but yeah, general consensus is to match the tank. I'll probably start with that, and hopefully be done with it.
