Was all set to get in the car and drive to Marcus Dairy for Super Sunday.  Mrs. was working and I was hanging with my son.  As we were leaving, he asked when I was gonna take for a motorcycle ride.  He's 8 and the last time we checked, he wasn't fully reaching the passenger pegs.  I told him to hop on and now he reaches just fine.  We suited up and off we went.  The boy paid attention to the rules and said he wasn't scared at all.

THIS OPENS UP A WHOLE NEW WORLD.  JUST INCREASED MY WEEKEND RIDING TIME BY 100 %

That is sooooo awesome brother!!!!!!

Wanted to take my grandson up the trace this time in and wife said NO.  He is 7 and I guess I need to get some extensions on the passenger pegs.  He is legal, but wife said he is too young.  I know the first time he can ride with me (with mileage) is going to be an experience he will never forget.  Was going to put the trunk  back on and everything.  I wanted to do it and sent her an email from Africa.

How awesome you are getting share some wind with your son!!!!!

RIDE SAFE!!!!!!

life just got good.  My now 13 yr old son is my favorite person to ride with. My trips are always better when he is around.  Enjoy every ride you get. It wont be long and he will be riding off into his life.

See you out there

+1.  Do it now.  Once they get into HS age, most will want to be with their friends.  There will be a period of years when they are on their own.  Then, many will come back, and you will have a lifelong riding partner, with them on their own bike!

It is grand, ain't it! Took me two years of fighting with momma to finally get her blessing (Or at least acquiescence!) to gear our daughter up and let her ride on the back... Now she's LOVING it. Whenever I pick her up from daycare, if I'm carrying her riding gear when I go in to get her she EXPLODES into happiness, bouncing all the way down the hallway...
