I'm alittle slow getting this out, but I've been pretty busy since this ride... Smiley

1. I learned that Reb made his first solo VRRC ride without his aunt and uncle, Po and Painter….who by the way were missed by all…we had a hard time getting Reb to snap out of his lose of companionship, but after a few cans from the company warehouse he was fine…..

2.   I learned that Smokin’jo can give his Martin Luther King speech from anywhere…I’ve seen him give it on a mountaintop, a stonewall, in parking lots, next to gas pumps, around campfires and dead end streets…this time it was at a Stop sign in the middle of the countryside in W.Va…..actually that was Va. We all love to hear it, it wouldn’t be a Smokin’jo ride without it…..

3.   I learned that the horn signal at gas stops works great, except when someone else blows his horn and the whole ride takes off behind the wrong motorcycle….

4.   I learned that Fender Mender can fix anything…when Flamigobabe’s spyder broke down, he was able to make the repair with nothing more then a hammer and chisel, provided by LadyDraco who carrys enough tools to repair everything from a bicycle to a Locomotive….

5.   I learned that the Rogue Riders from Michigan are the Yankee version of the Wild Bunch from the south…..

6.   I learned that CharlieMac is still collecting old dump trucks as long as they don’t run and you can’t get parts for them….

7.   I learned that there are times that I don’t know my left from right, we made it thru a traffic light in Marlinton with only half the ride clearing the light making a left hand turn, I instructed the rest of the ride thru CB radio to make a right…what was even more amazing was although some of them saw us make the left they still made the right turn…..

8.   I learned that if you want to get rid of bearmeat, just put it in chili and give it to un-suspecting bikers, who will eat anything that is mixed with BBQ sauce…..

9.   I learned that if you ride a bald tire from Ohio to W.Va. when you get there the cords will be hanging out and you get to miss the entire ride, looking for another tire….sounds like fun to me…

10.   I learned that Rainman does actually bring the rain with him and when he jumps up on a 55 gal. drum and says ok I did it what are you going to do about….he is actually quite fast when guys carrying large sticks come racing toward screaming obscenities ….

11.   I learned that the kids from the 4 H club earned nearly $800 from the cook-out they provided us with….Wolf said they said We’d have to wash an awful lot of cars and trucks to make that much…sure was a good time…

12.   I learned that Lucky 13 likes to try catching little birdies with both hands while riding…..

13.      I learned that these little rides that are held all over the country, are the glue that helps keep the VRCC what it is until the Nat’l ride gets together once a year…we hope everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the ones who were making this ride their first ever in the VRCC….till next year…we’ll see ya down the road..

Hibinder,
Thanks for sharing the wind from Rich Creek to Franklin!  And the great ride you all put on.  My first and, hopefully, not my last!

I learned if you execute your directional maneuvers properly you can experience the same rain shower multiple times.   Grin   It was a fine summer day and a little water didn't hurt anyone.

Great ride, 'Binder.  It was good to see you and Lady Draco again and it was an excellent part of the country in which to ride.
