Was looking up some stuff on Cheaha and the area. Found this webcam site at the loca ABC affiliate. Man I am so looking forward to this ride. I had my Harley experience this evening. I cut my grass. that's the web cam they showed two weekends ago when we were up there scouting and doing our final coordination....and....THE TORNADO WENT BY US. RIGHT BY THAT TOWER. it started hailing real bad, we went inside to check the tv/weather....and boom, they said here is a video on a web cam of the tornado up top of Cheaha. so....we watched...live...as the tornado went about quarter-half mile from where we stood. we just looked at each other.............and the hail...continued............. |

that's looking from the restaurant and it's parking lot...accross the street from the hotel. Starting on Friday, 1 May...you'll see lots of bikes on that web cam!!!!!! at 930....May 2....930 am central time, you'll get to see four groups of Valks riding down past that web cam...as about 123 folks head to the races........ late at night....IF you can see....you might see some folks staggering back into their hotel rooms on that web cam  |

Can you change the view of the cam? It's not to the parking lot anymore. Someone must have done climbed the Cheaha dancing pole and moved it.

Checked it 3 or 4 times a day fri sat and sun. It was never aimed at the parking lot side of things.  Mostly saw fog and clouds. |

yea...i think they have it pointed up high to show the distant scenery. Too bad..........
We DID have quite a bit of fog Saturday morning! when i led the group ride down the mountain ....that first few miles....was interesting! But just a few miles down, it cleared. Typical up there.....quite often you have that fog on top.
