NEED RECOMMENDATIONS ON

A good ultra light  bike cover, well made- good for traveling. Last year I ordered one with heat sheilds and not only was it heavy but as big as a basketball and took up half my saddlebag and sent it back as soon as I got it. The ones I've looked at didn't have good reviews. Most said they leaked in a heavy rain or was water resistant- not waterproof. If size and weight wasn't a problem I'd order the Dowco Guardian Weatherall Plus with heat shields that can be put on while hot. BUT I'm sure it's too big & heavy.

All the ones I looked at over the years have been the same.  Never found one that I liked and they were all too bulky.  Maybe a half cover.  I have seen them on wings, they look kind of dorky though.

I saw one at Big Lots for $10 bucks. The price is right. I'd recommend that one.

I don't use covers when I travel, although I did use one for a while last year in PA. So I have no expertise, but I think if I were picking up one I'd grab the cheap one from Big Lots and make due.

I bought a half-cover a few years back, works fine and isn't big and bulky in the saddlebag. It covers the windshield/fairing, goes down and covers the Air Wings and my driving lights in front. In back, it will come down far enough to cover the end of the exhaust, saddlebags, and obviously the seating area/tank, etc.

It has a couple small bungees on each side witch I hook over the foot pegs. Under normal conditions, it does a good job. But if you're in a torrential wind blown downpour, it's going to get wet regardless of the cover being used. If interested, I'll have to dig it out and see what the brand is.

This is the perfect small half cover I carry on all trips.  Packages very small (softball size), weighs a few ounces, almost waterproof, but even when it leaks it still keeps all topside electricals, bars, seats from direct downpour (most rolls off), keeps prying eyes off in motels, and dries very quickly once it stops raining.  No metal hooks/parts to scratch, just two elastic straps.

We've had a couple of UltraGuards for years and they smash down to about the size of a football and are at least 7-8 years old. The older one covers my wife's Fatboy sitting in the carport all the time, both have some kind of heat shielding for the exhaust and 2 bungie cords for the wind.

I have the EZ touring "Traveler". It will easily fit in a helmet when folded up in its storage bag. I've had it for 12 years or so & it works just fine.

My $20 cover is 3 years old and works well for keeping prying eyes away. It is not water proof but it helps some.
For the money and compact storage, I think it is a good deal.

Tour King is a half cover I got for traveling. Rip stop nylon made to fit the Valk. I have a b'wing and the owner help me find the right one. Had it in 2 days from TX. Folds into a round pouch about the size of the oem tool kit. Great in the hot sun.
I do carry a 100% waterproof one when we go west, only cause the storms are bad. It alot bigger to pack so I bought a small back pack for it. Hangs off the bike then on trips.
