Does anyone know if there will be anything at Wing Ding 33 in Knoxville, TN for our Valkyries?

From my experience the last few years.......not much for Valks.  Some vendors will have a few things but seems like the pickings are slimmer each year. But it's always interesting to look around at least one day.

Pickins is getting slimmer every where!
But i'll probably go at least one day since it's in my back yard.
There will be a few valks show up and most of the wingers are good folks and at least they'll ride them here!!!

I went to a big wing thing at the convention center in Greenville SC a couple of years ago...

Some of the wing folks acknowledged and gave the thumbs up to my Valkyrie as I rode in...

It cost like a million dollars to get in, so I just looked around at the fancy wings in the parking
lot and talked to people...

Wing Ding is July 5-7th. Home base is the Marriott I believe. Honda is having their demo ride rig there. Might be a good time to ride the new VFR1200F with/without the automatic tranny. There's also a reunion of Hoot volunteers. Yes I was one and miss the Hoot. Can't make the event though. I'm on my way back from Nova Scotia.

There is a big wing rally here every fall.

I've been to it a couple of times, once when I was riding a Goldwing (GL 1100) and once on my Valk, I'd have to say that I never really felt "Welcomed" either time.

I got the feeling that they feel that they have a pretty exclusive club and they want to keep it that way.

The funny thing is that anytime I'm describing my Valk to someone that doesn't know much about motorcycles, I tell them that it is a

Hot Rod Goldwing.

I miss the Hoot also.
Since I live in knoxville, I may go for a day but probably not.  Looking at the Wing Ding web site, it is split with the demo's & primary parking at Chilowee Park, & everything else at the convention center.  About 5 miles apart.  Ticket sales appear to be only at the convention center.  Could be wrong on that as that would be the determining factor as to whether I go.  Demo's are the draw for me.  If I go to the convention center, buy a day pass, then go over to Chilowee Park, the demo rides will pretty much be booked for the day by the full pass holders.
Those who remember the  Hoot know that to book demo rides you went to the Demo gate an hour or so before opening time, bought your ticket while in line, & waited for the gate to open just to get a ride scheduled sometime that day.

I go with my son, a Goldwing rider, almost every year. I always manage to find something to spend my money on for my Valk, but mostly I go to enjoy the good people and good riding, not to mention showing off the Fat Lady. Most of the seminars are pretty good, too.
