Just bought a Valk last month and have been reading a lot on here but this is my first post. I pulled the air box to see if the bike had been desmogged - It has! So now when I go to put the air box back on there are some hoses I can't figure out where they go...
Two hoses come off the intake manifolds to a tee and then a hose come off the tee - Where does it go? Also have one loose hose I think came off the back of the air box, but I can't see where it goes either..
HELP PLEASE!!!
If I need to explain it better you can call me at 918-698-2136..

The hose that comes off the tee goes nowhere. It is a vacuum break. Just leave it as it.

OK - Makes sense because it lays forward, but there is no connection on the front of the airbox.
The front hole in the bottom of the airbox is plugged for the demsmog. One of the other two holes has a short piece of tubing on it that is crimped, but not plugged and I assume the other one is for the left over piece of hose I have, but where does the other end connect to? I know one is supposed to be for the drain line, but what's the other one for?

MP - Thanks for your help - I got the other two figured out with the help of an online parts fiche - Part of the problem was that the previous owner did not have them hooked up correctly, which is what I suspected and part of the reason I wanted to go through this exercise.
All good now - Thanks again - Rob

if the bike has been desmogged, there should only be one vacuum line in use off the intakes, that would be the rear left most cylinder which would be #6 and it should go to the petcock. All the other ones should be capped off unless you have a cruise control installed. The lines off of the center cylinders, #3 and #4, on each side originally went to a "T" that operated the pair valves. At the rear of the air box there will two larger hoses to hook up if it has been desmogged.

Like TB said, if the bike is desmogged then all the intakes should be plugged/capped with the exception of the vacuum line from #6 to the petcock.. There is a line [vent] from the rear of the fuel tank that needs attention when installing the tank.. It is easy to kink this line and this is the line with the ' T ' [vacuum break] that has nothing attached to it and ends up near the swing arm..

The ports from the manifolds are capped off as they should be. The line that I think MP refers to as a "vacuum break" runs from a hard line in between the two back carburetors on each side to a tee, from which another line runs forward to nothing?? Seems weird, but I put everything back together and it runs fine, so I'm assuming it is correct. Seems like it might pull unfiltered air into the carbs though - Maybe it should have a breather filter? One more thing - when I blew into it I could hear gas gurgling...
Can't ID which tube it is on the parts fiche either...

that come out near the rear of the carb bank and are originally inserted into holes in the rear bracket. Each side has one and is the overflow in case a carb overfills due to stuck float. That is what you are probably referring to in your last post.
