How much weight can be safely be put on the i/s trunk rack. I'm thinking one or two very small coolers with ice and beverages. Don't know what brand it is as it was on the valk when i bought it. It has three bars running paralell from side to side and the rear most bar is at a 45 degree angle out and above the three bars. T I A. RIDE SAFE.

The rack also is not the only issue, it is the total weight in your trunk. The weight limit is inside the lid of your IS trunk, I think it was 20 lbs. That lid is very thin plastic.

Then there is the added weight above the center of gravity. Heavy things, like liquides, I place in the bottom of my saddle bags to keep the weight lower.

I put one on my trunk a couple years ago, and if I remember correctly, the instructions said 6 lbs. max.
