I think this would be on the list of bikes to check out. I've always liked Moto Guzzi Californias.

A friend owns a Guzzi dealer here. I like them a lot. Not world beating in any category, but they just work well.

I think I'd still go Griso...  Though that new V7 Cafe looks cool too!!

I'm actually tempted to get the Cafe as a friend for the Valk...  cooldude
Or a Triumph Thruxton...  Grin

An exgirlfriend had one.  Although she was so mechanically challenged that she once tried to repair a flat tire with ducttape, the Guzzi never gave her a problem.

In "98" while trying to decide what to replace my Honda 83 cb900 custom with I tried what was available then at my local Guzzi dealership... I don't remember the particular model but it was a very well handling bike and had excellant brakes. However it had a very bad buzz to it and a rock hard seat. After a 4 mile juant my hands had that spiderweb feel and my butt was numb. Thinking I must be mistaken I took my daughter for a 1/2 mile ride and she asked why it vibrated so bad.. So I realalised I had been spoiled by Honda yet again and went and found a 98 Valk. Life has been very good every since. I hope they fixed those only two detriments as it was a great ride otherwise.. I do love the way the new ones look.

Ditto... I think they're way cool. Looked at one at a Beemer/Guzzi dealership near Houston a few years ago.
Have had it in the back of my mind ever since. sheets

There was something wrong with that test bike.  I had a '77 850T3.  It was very smooth running once you got off of idle.  Handled great, seat could have used and upgrade.  I would still be riding it except for going thru a bad time and getting rid of it.  Sold it to a Guzzi nut and parts of it are still on the road today on a bike that has probably 200k on it.
The oil pan removal to change the filter and the air filter being nearly imposible to find let alone change were  problems you learned to live with.  The other problem the older ones have is that the electrical connectors are as bad as LUCAS.  After about 4 years if you touched one it would fall apart and they were some weird size.  So I had to go thru almost  whole system and replace both ends of each cnnection.
