Wink well they looked familiar and they was both sitting next to Valkyries so I figured they must either be lost, tired or broken down.   ???

Well a number of years ago Devl and I was at Inzane IV in Kentucky and my alternator on my Interstate went out on me, well we was in the middle of nowhere along the Ohio river and a couple of bikes came zooming by next thing you know they turn around and come back and asked if we was okay. Well we had a wrecker coming but it was about an hour away. These two guys offered all kinds of help and sat with us for quite awhile, the wrecker came and took us back ground zero we never even got their names but we were real grateful for their kindness. They was from the Great State of Texas and really appreciated and enjoyed their company.

Now back to those two Texan's at the Burger King, it was Lyn-Del and Wizard and yes I knew they was up there because I had talked to them when Mr. R.J. emailed me that they was in trouble with alt. problems in Upper Michigan. They tried to limp it to Lansing but it just wasn't going well, I gave them my number and told them to call if they needed help. Devl and I was just heading out for a bike ride when I felt my phone buzz we pulled over and sure enough they needed some help. Well all is okay we drove up 180 miles and brought them home with us. Their bikes are in the garage and we have an alt. so they should be back on there journey today.

The moral of the story is what goes around comes around. Thanks to the Texan's that stopped and helped us and in some small way we hope the favor has been returned.  cooldude

Where else but VRCC do you find someone who will get off their own bike, hook a trailer up to a truck, and drive 170+ miles ONE WAY to pick up a broken bike and the rider, then offer a garage in which to repair the bike, a vehicle to drive while the bike is being repaired (including the approx 220 mile round trip part run)?

All of this on a holiday weekend?

Not to mention a vendor who, even though he's announced he's closed till after Inzane, will dig out the needed parts, and let you pick those parts up at his home after 10 pm?  Then follow up to be sure that the repairs have been made and all is well........

I'm proud to be a member of the VRCC family!
