If any of you western PA'ers or E OH folks are heading up river (Allegheny) the wife and I took a ride last night to a place I have wanted to go for a while. So upon the Fat Lady and the Shadow we commenced.

The Valk is more or less back together (as am I) , missing windshield parts, and the headlight bezel, for her. I am riding shieldless for the first time in years and have mixed feelings. Its cooler, but over 50 the push starts to overcome the want of a breeze. Saddlebags are both being repainted so shes running around nekkid.
On my end.... One of the ribs must have popped out in my back so its floating around a bit. Can't go to the cracker because of them healing (laying face down and having someone push on my back would be bad.) sooooo, its Aleve and a friendly demeanor for about 2 more weeks, then a Chiro.

Anyway.

Suggested to the wife that we go out for dinner and she got into the shower, so, I assumed that I was actually going to have to go to a "pay after" restaurant where food comes on plates, sheesh women. We rode NE to Foxburg and the Foxburg Inn/ Allegheny Grille.

Wife had stuffed haddock and I had Prime rib. Quesadillas for appetizer and iced tea to drink. Its only a 25 mile ride for us one way on decent 2 lane and the food was none to shabby. Nice place with a great view. It is a decent place with good service and good food served promptly. I dropped 64 pre tip which I didn't consider out of line for the meal. Atmosphere was high end but there was a mix of jeans and slacks and skirts so you don't have to over dress.

I was told that I could take her out more often, so I guess I have to go back..

Was just up in Foxburg last Sunday. We went right past your place on the way... from Hickory Woods Eating Room, up around Rt 68 to Foxburg.

We didn't eat at the Allegheny Grill, have previously though (not as good an experience as yours). Mostly spend our time in Foxburg for JoJo to stock up on the girly fire water (wine).

Nice ride out that way for sure... done it many times.

I have heard that it is on and off. Wasn't my experience though.

If you are floating over this way, on 19 there are at least 2 that I have been to Iron Bridge and Rachels Roadhouse, that are both outstanding. The same outfit owns 2 more, the Log Cabin and Springfield Grille. I have heard the same for them. All are on 19 between Mercer and Harmony.
