if the empire state building had fallen on him, they would have said a helmet would have saved him.

People die in cars with out helmets all the time

A helmet might have saved him, but it wouldn't have prevented the accident.  Proper riding (braking) skills would most likely prevented the accident altogether.  Just keep teaching new riders to use back brakes only and this will continue to happen.  I hate it that it always seems to be a Harley but it is what it is.

Ok, so he was protesting the mandatory helmet law by not wearing one, crashed and died.  uglystupid2
I understand the "freedom" not to wear a helmet. But he did not further the cause of ABATE which sponsored the ride.
That kind of justifies the law, Just my opinion.

And yes there are mostly harley owners in this area.
