Stretch you are a newbie and we have not yet met

I have never started a post with asking a person if they are out of their mind  This is why we have PM and email  I have probably PM's  most of the folks who post here when something bothers me about a post and it has been universally appreciated

But since you asked  The answers are no yes and yes     I had rocks and bottles thrown at me in Tiberias, a mostly arab city in Israel and felt more threatened in the arab quarter of jerusalem than I ever do in a bronx ghetto  And we were never on a tour bus and the worst was at a movie theater in Tiberias

Since you are a photographer and not afraid of confrontation with authority try this experiment with a friend who will take pictures

How about you put on a star of david and a skullcap and walk thru Gaza (a place where there are NO jews run by your friends at hamas)

Iran, Syria, Egypt, libya, yemen   saudi arabia  arab emirates and for fun wear a tallis and teffilin

see how long you last  These are countries that expelled all those who are jewish that is those who survived

Should I continue?

Now if you have balls try that also as a woman  then be seen driving a car in saudi arabia
or just be a woman talking to a man on the street and having a coffee

oh thats right they dont have any rights either  you can stone and kill your daughter for any offense

Oh and I am not welcome in bahrain, quatar and those lovely shitholes in the middle east which is fine as I have no desire to go there unless my government tells me to go

As I said in the post  PM me if you are not a troll and I will be happy to discuss it further

Otherwise bugger off

well I find that comforting OSS, you've never PMed me. I guess I'm not that controversial.  coolsmiley

Yeah, real "bizarre," you seem to have a real gift of minimizing, discounting, disparaging, belittling (or any other appropriate verb), any post you don't agree with, wonder why....

Hmmm does this sound familiar: inferiority complex
an intense feeling of inferiority, producing a personality characterized either by extreme reticence or, as a result of overcompensation, by extreme aggressiveness.
Just a thought, you may want to get some professional help.

Easily discredited propaganda posts SHOULD be minimized, discounted, disparaged, and belittled.  Hopefully, it will lessen the impact to gullible people who don't do independent research and encourage people to verify things before passing them along.

I think you are confusing assertiveness with aggressiveness...

"Assertiveness v. Aggressiveness"

Oh, SNAP.  Well played, Bobbo, well played.

Oh, and to whomever provided that link to my site, thanks.  Seems we just keep movin' on up (yep, like The Jeffersons) in those invaluable Google rankings.  Smiley

It's  not free free free free freeee, it's paid for from their tax revenue. Here the average yearly insurance premium for a family is over $13,000. Cost of a college education runs about $30,000. I say the Swedes got themselves a pretty good deal re having a healthy, well educated society.

It's only a good deal if you want state run health care and state run education.  I for one, do NOT.  We've seen how well government run "fill in the blank" is doing, why would you want to depend on the gov't for these things?  ESPECIALLY EDUCATION.  I don't want the state in control of what I learn and am exposed to, especially at the higher levels of education.

Kinda describes the obsession with Sweden that some people seem to have.

Kind of like what Texas is doing to their text books?

"The changes, which were preliminarily approved last week by the Texas board of education and are expected to be given final approval in May, will reach deeply into Texas history classrooms, defining what textbooks must include and what teachers must cover. The curriculum plays down the role of Thomas Jefferson among the founding fathers, questions the separation of church and state, and claims that the U.S. government was infiltrated by Communists during the Cold War. "

If this is what you are referring to, then YES, exactly!

Certainly, The Great State Of Texas, and I do mean that, The Board of Ed. is forcing changes to text books, along very political lines. You may or you may not agree, but it is elected officials affecting education:

From the linked article:

"Cynthia Dunbar, a lawyer from Richmond who is a strict constitutionalist and thinks the nation was founded on Christian beliefs, managed to cut Thomas Jefferson from a list of figures whose writings inspired revolutions in the late 18th century and 19th century, replacing him with St. Thomas Aquinas, John Calvin and William Blackstone. (Jefferson is not well liked among conservatives on the board because he coined the term “separation between church and state.”)"

The standard of education of students in Texas will be lowered by this change.

At least they will be more likely to stay in Texas, for fear of falling off the edge of the world!   2funny

Exactly.....and, as elected officials ARE our gov't, I don't want them near my healthcare or education.  I'd rather pay higher taxes to keep them away from these things.
