So, if I should want to get some stock pipes ( I bought my 97 Valk with the Two Brothers 6 into 6) what things should I look for or consider.  I know the "piggies" shouldn't be cut out but are there any other obvious or not so obvious things one should ask about or consider.  Thanks.  Steve

P.S.  Are all years and models interchangeable with others?  I kind of think not.

If the piggies are intact it's safe to assume the rear [or front] baffles haven't been drilled or punched, because of the turns in the piggies.
If the piggies are missing then look inside each cut-off with a flashlight to see if the center "disk" in each isn't drilled or punched. It would be pretty obvious if they were.
If the rear baffles have been drilled then checking the front baffle is a little harder. No light will help, you'd have to grope your way with a rod of some sort & feel your way in.

I've repaired drilled baffles with freeze plugs.

Yes they are all interchangeable. Depends where you want the tips to finish out at.

Standard/Tourer the piggies are stacked vertically and come up short of the rear of the saddle bags.

Interstate piggies are horizontal with longer tips that get out to the rear of the bags.

They'll all fit great. Here's my Tourer with Interstate pipes...
