I am wanting to put some Led show lights on my bike but I have not had any experience with the installation and use of them, Is there anyone with recommendations on what to get and application recommendations? I would like some to go around the tank to show off that gorgeous engine and some around the sides and maybe some on the fenders and trunk area? Steve

Hey TxFireman , its NOT HARD just take your time and it will come out looking like anUFO at nite .... some led lites come are either round pods or in strips of 3 , 6 , 9 up to fifteen depending where you wants mount them ... I myself put three under each spark plug valence cover , six lites under the tank towards the rear because of space and six lites under the chrome fender mount underneath and six lites under the fork tree ... they come with long wire leads for the post. and neg. ... I have a small toggle swith I have mounted on the frame with a small wire tie right above the left side cover ... I connected a fuse link with a loop connector to the pos. side of the battery to the hot side of the lites , I soldered all the ground wires together and put a loop connecter for the neg. side of the battery ... what I did was hook up the lites to the battery tempory and held the lite strips by hand to see the most lite was reflecting of the chrome ... try and do the lite test positioning when its dim in your garage or with the garage door closed and the lites will lite up and reflect off the chrome real nice .. on my 98 Blue / Cream I used red , blue and gold up front under the fork tree , that was me ... and at nite I look like a UFO and I like it because these dummies with their cell phones can see me real clear.... have fun and pick out your colors ... forgot to mention in Tx. you are not allowed to have I believe the colors Red or Yellow anywhere in the rear or up front and they cannot be flashing while your riding but being parked thats OK for showing off Thanks the Geezer

I used Boogey lights on mine. Very easy to install due to their cut-n-click design. They are brighter than most of the other lights I have seen. http://www.boogey.com/JB

Hey Geezer. I want to see pictures when you get to it. I've thought about the LEDs in velocity stacks, and may do it one of these days. But at the moment, it just gonna take a little more time and money than I can spare. I love Advanced Auto, Auto Zone, and O'Reilly's. You can get a lot of bling there pretty cheap. I used the LED strips that go on the rear view mirrors to add tail lights and brake lights to my flea-bay trunk.

I found ya a scooter for those fire calls. The bad news is that it is a harley. I ran across this a few weeks ago. Hopefully I can load it from the stash http://vrcc.photostash.com/vrcc_31149/!B1HiYYgBmk~$(KGrHqUOKicE)(fgFcRkBMdJn9CTrQ~~_3.jpg

Hey Tx. Fireman , sit down with no glare or in dim lite is better in your garage and hook up the Led's tempory to the battery and hold them in place by hand and just look how much reflection your getting off of any particular chrome part .... your really going to be mounting the LED's on either side of your bike so people can see them from the side and behind you from a short distance ... you CANNOT mount those lites directly in the front or behind your bike with police lite colors OK ...... you will be able fit the strip LED's easier and spread out the lite better than the round pod's .... like I said on my Blue / Cream 98 Tourer , I used red , blue and gold .... I plan on putting some more red on the Old Fat Lady in the Velocity Stacks with round pod LED's ..... within the next few days ... so these dummies in the evening when I'm riding and their talking on their STUPID cell phones they can see me .... I call them my UFO lites .... Thanks the Geezer
