That dude can ride. They had his picture in the GWRRA rag called Wing World a while back and all kinds of members wrote in saying that didn't depict the responsible riding style of a Gold Wing member. There were a lot of people also saying if he's that good a rider, there's nothing wrong with showing that picture. I say if he can do it safely, then go for it. I think many GWRRA members nowadays are too hung up on what THEY think makes a good rider. I still belong, mostly for the benefits available and past associations are still good friends. However, I haven't attended a meeting in years....much too structured for my taste.

I think he's got something causing the sparks or some trick. Who in their right mind would scrape their chrome, frame, bags and everything on purpose?

Might be a pyromaniac!  2funny uglystupid2

Years back there was a Gold Wing rider who would follow you through those curves and video tape ya.   For a fee.

He cared less what ya rode cause you could not out ride him.    Even on a crotch rocket.

i think it was "yellow wolf" or something like that.

saw him when we rode the "tail", doing figure 8's in the parking lot. couldn't have been much larger than a 10 ft circle!! Shocked

A normal bike will not leave a trail of sparks like that. I know my ST1300 will not and it's been captured by Killboy in the past.

I've ridden the Tail of the Dragon quite often with skilled Wing riders, and YES, they will spark like that in some corners.  It's usually the small acorn nut on the bottom of the peg, but the whole footpeg will spark once it's worn off.
