It took me to realize that the big mounting bolts for the kick stand were not 'fixed' to the cross member as I'm loosening the nuts? I thought they were welded to the cross member.  Some hints...lactic acid build up in arms, right shoulder receiving rug burns from wrenching on card board, lotta lube and some cuss words. Winner gets beverage of their choice.  |

It took me a good 10 minutes to realise 'this is the sidestand!!', and almost dropped the bike in the process! Once she was on jack stands, took me about 5 min to make your discovery, and 15 min to get a wrench zip tied to the crossmember cause I couldn't get my fat fingers to hold the wrench on top and run the ratchet on the bottom.
I guess 16.5 minutes.

The last time I did something that involved a lot of lubrication, getting brush burns, and then looseing my nuts....let's see...about 25 minutes.
