38% of people in Washington state believe in bigfoot, 13% have seen him or know someone who has. got a new show I'm watching "finding bigfoot" three guys and a gal go out in the woods huntin' for a big ole hairy primate. some of the things they say drive me batty, 'this was caused by big foot,' 'yep big foot had lunch here' everything is bigfoot to them. the gal is the only skeptic, gotta figure once in a while its a guy in a suit....... me? I want the undeniable proof, tranq dart his big butt and drag him out of the woods.

Well it would take two good size 4 wheelers to to get this thing out of the woods.
If you found one you would be told by scientists that it is a fluke.
Their can't be another.
I personally believe in the fact there is something like a Bigfoot.
I have heard it's cry in the wild and it will scare the Bejesus out of yah.
All these hunters, trappers and outdoorsman are not looney tunes.
They see Bear, Wolf , Coyote, Mountain Lion fairly frequently and say this is something altogether different.

no I don't believe they are looney, actually I'm on the side the cautious believers. at about 75% belief I think they are hard to find because 1, they are nocturnal. 2. they may be as or nearly as inteligent as us. 3 they are at home in the woods, we aren't. 4 they are very rare. go take a look at the patterson footage on youtube from '67. way too much happening there to be faked, including the year. there was to many details in the film to faked back then. the FX didn't exist yet, and may be hard to do now short of CGI.

I am a skeptic about Big Foot. If there was a more than one, there needs to be more than one for them to exist very long, why haven't we found at least one body of these critters. They have to die sometime, right? Where is the samples of hair, scat, urine so DNA could be run. Video clips of the suppose Big Foots are really poor quality. I would like to see good quality footage that can be verified.

I worked several years out in a burg called Orleans...the heart of the NorCal Bigfoot country. I was on my way home to Willow Creek one day and stopped to pick up a hitchhiker near "Bluff Creek". This is the home of the legendary sighting for this area. Had the guy in my rig for forty-five minutes... fresh from the woods of primitive backpacking-camping in the Bluff Creek drainage in search of Sasquatch. Showed me hair and scat samples he collected. The map of where he'd been... claimed he lured him in one night by the campfire. After about ten minutes I was beginning to regret I ever picked this guy up. After two weeks in the wilderness he smelled like Bigfoot, too. In my backwoods opinion the hair and scat samples he collected and carefully packaged in baggies were bear sign. Not too many years ago an old logger of the area admitted, on his death bed, to creating the hoax. He did it to spook some guys in the woods back in the day. It worked. The practical joke blew up fast far and wide. He couldn't dispel the now nationwide story. He just let it run its course for nearly fifty years. Can't speak for the Bigfoot sightings in other parts of the country. http://www.times-standard.com/localnews/ci_10853838I'm a non-believer. Yrmv.

Actually, I've got it on good authority that Big Foot is really Elvis running around the woods in a hairy suit and Hobbit feet! Linedog

I am a skeptic too. Never a body. No fossil record. Never a hair. as for the blurry videos... If Bigfoot exists... he's simply a blurry monster. Jabba

I have a couple of friends (brothers) who both swear they seen one in a remote area during a brief repair on their vehicle. It just walked across the road near them. They still get shook up about it many years later. Me, if I see one, you will know it. My alarm system will go off. You will hear me, smell me and then see me. In another words, I will scream, crap my pants then, I will run away like nothing you have seen before!!! LMAO Craig NCGhostrider 99 I/S Too hot to ride...

The story of Bigfoot has been around a lot longer then 50 yrs or so, I doubt some old logger started it back when...maybe in his area..but the stories have been around for 100's of years.....myself, I've spent a lot of time in the mts. and woods around the country and have heard things out there at night that make your hair stand up, was it Bigfoot? Who knows...with all the time out there I have never found a dead bear, or mountain lion, eagle or much of anything...things don't last very long out in the woods...do I believe in them? Prove that they are not there...I believe enough that given the opportunity to go search for them, I'd go in a minute...

Hahahah!! What a joke - and I betcha 95% of those that believe that, ALSO believe that there was enough FX, to fake all the details of the landing on the moon, two years later!! Can't have it both ways... Hoax declaration #1Hoax declaration #2

I'm going to walk that back a bit, I don't think they are as inteligent as us, but if sheer skull volume is an indication of intelligence well SNAP!
the part that gets me is why don't the true believers rent a helicopter with FLIR and go find him.
no skeletons being found is not too surprising, how many deer or other carcasses have I come across hiking, wood cutting, or hunting? not many....

Bigfoot country is also Marijuana growing country. I think our drug enforcement agencies has the helicopters and the most modern detection devices available scouring that area.
That may explain it... Bigfoot is baked most of the time, and only goes out at night when he gets the munchies!

Indians saw and worshipped the Large Footed Thing long before the logger was even alive.
SO he did not start or even perpetuate the legend.
It is too widespread and seen to be a fake.
All over the globe are sightings of this large ape like man, about 8 ft tall and likewise bulky.
Was not long ago we did not know about the great apes.
They will find one, just hope they don't murder it to prove it.

You mean the Western world... I'm sure the Africans knew about great apes long before that.
