Hi Everyone! I will be hosting a wrench party on July 26th. So bring your projects or just come and lend a hand and or just BS with the guys. Come early 8am before it gets really hot. We will order out for pizza or some of Joe's BBQ. Email me and I'll send directions and a phone number. tinman047<no spam>@sbcglobal.net remove the <no spam>.
Dodis since you have a spare set of forks email me and we can setup a time before then to fix those. Should not take more than an hour unless you are replacing the springs. We can do it one evening.
Oh it's going to be a great time!

Until we are done I suppose. Come on out I think at least Dodis will still be here. He has a full plate of stuff. And I will be working on mine and my plate is over flowing. Besides I live here. It largely depends on how hot it gets. I can't take too much heat any more. Email me that way I can get you on the list. See previous post... When the time gets near I will email everyone directions and phone numbers in case you get lost. I must be a redneck cause the directions include turn on the dirt road... Looking forward to this. It's been a long time since we had a wrench party here.

I'm just glad we got the wrench party posts out from under the "stoopid" thread. It just seemed like an ominous sign.
I intend to be there. I'll be prepping for my Colorado run a few days later, so naturally I'll be completely disassembling and reassembling the bike, down to the frame. Seriously, I'll be working a couple of little things, and looking over shoulders on the other jobs we have.

Just thought I'd remind everyone in this thread, Tinman has offered to help me get my forks done before the wrench party so we can save my installation of Þrúðr's dampers and general rear service for the party.
And also haven't got a chance to go out to look much yet, but does anyone south of Houston know of any places stocking Bel-Ray or Guard Dog grease? Kinda hard for me to check places out when most are closed by the time I get home from work.

I Don't know of any place that stocks the bel ray stuff. But I have plenty of the guard dog stuff on hand. It does not take much to lube the splines and you are welcome to use mine. Some one posted one time about the number and location the get the GD. So you might try searching for it. Some one chime in here if they have the info on GD or the bel ray stuff!

Well, I finally quit being busy (or is it lazy), and searched up Guard Dog. Not too far from Stubbs Telephone, so may just drop by if I'm around Houston this weekend. Plus, we've been at a loss at work as the guy that sat next to me, Ben Boren, is one of the two that were killed July 4 on the Sam Rayburn Dam wreck. I saw the post on the National board a few hours after I got the call Saturday, http://www.valkyrieforum.com/forum/main.cgi?read=1243407 . A strong reminder to all to keep all 3 eyes open out there, you just never know...

I'm sorry we won't be able to get together with ya this weekend but I start nights Friday thru Mon night so it would be real hard to make it. Ya'll have fun and we'll see ya at ranger BBQ or the swamp fest in October.
