I'd like to know what you think of them.......
They were on my Valk when I bought it....they've been on the bike since the bike was new ('97). They're real leather.....and they'll fade over time. Mine were fadded to a brown-ish/weathered patina when I got the bike, but I took them off, cleaned them up and re-dyed them. They still look pretty good 4 years later. Re-dying them is really easy (just wear some latex gloves or you'll be dyed black too). They're fairly roomy......though not as big as the factory hard bags, but not too bad. I can usually stuff a couple mesh jackets in one bag. A half helmet will fit in one with a little room left over (although not much). They have some give to them so you can over stuff them somewhat if you like.....not like a hard bag where something either fits or it doesn't.and how do they mount? flat backs?
They have flat backs and are a direct bolt on to the mounts.Do you have to have the brackets?
Yes, you need the brackets. Are you satisfied with the quality, do the look cheap? or as good as any.
For a real leather bag, yes, I'm satisfied with the quality. No, they don't look cheap....they look like they're made for the Valk....which they are.or as good as any.
That's pretty subjective.....but you do get what you pay for. Cheap bags are cheap bags......these arn't cheap.Bags are a personal choice...and if you like the looks of these, then you'll like them on your Valk. It just depends upon what you're looking for in a saddlebag. If you want a saddlebag that locks, then these arn't the ones for you (although you CAN fit a pad lock in the hasp/buckle....but it's still only as secure as anything else with a lock on it). If you want weather proof, then these aren't the bags for you either.....water will get in. But if you like a well built, sturdy leather/studded bag, then these will fit the bill pretty nicely.email some pics if you have them. seller1047atgmaildotcom
I'll put some here......This is what they looked like a couple days after I brought the bike home.....
This is what they looked after I cleaned them up and re-dyed them
And this is what they look like just a couple days ago (bike is kinda dirty and needs to be washed....bags have a layer of road grim and dirt on them from not being cleaned-up in a while).

You're welcome, BF
