alright lets see if I can explain.  Did nothing to front end of bike this winter I did put on a rebuilt rear diff. I took bike atleast a month ago it felt fine.  last week I got on it heavy and I had one hell off a steering wobble. next ride I could feel like something was wrong. I took off tire checked balance, checked wheel bearings and tried to do pull on bottom of forks found nothing  bad. I took bike out to night and could  still tell not right. problem from other day still there,if I excelerate any speed let go of throttle and loosen up grip on handle bars there is a wobble not as bad as the death wobble I had last week but still there. now tonight if I am sitting still and jerk handle bar quick back and forth I can still feel a wobble i will call it thru handle bars not sure if it did that before but the vibration when I do that really reminds me of the feeling. Sorry so long winded but this one has me stummped.  Be Good, Matt

Since you've apparently done nothing to the front end until it acted up I would look to the rear.

If the rear is moving just a bit it can transition forward and seem to be the front acting up.

Perhaps you torqued the 4 rear drive bolts to the drive shaft housing prior to torquing the rear axle.

nope I tightend them up after, that was why rebuilding of rear was needed. Thanks though i appreciate any help with this. but the thing that bugs me the most is if I shake or jerk handle bars bike off and not on kickstand I swear I feel vibration through handle bars as I stop  jerking them, I mean a quick jerk of 1/4 movement both ways with handle bars.  Thanks again   Matt

Here's an idea.
Do that quick jerk repeatedly with someone watching the rear wheel & fender, get on it hard.
If the rear fender seems to be moving & tire is not [doubt you could move the tire anyway] then I would re-torque the swingarm bearings. However, special sockets are required.

Improperly torqued swingarm bearings can cause the sensation that it's the front end.
Just something to check.

1 of 2 things.

Rear end improperly installed and torqued down.

Front tire has a flat spot on it from setting in one spot all winter.

If the tire brand is a Dunflop on the front, that is where I would head for 1st.

Happy hunting.

That's definitely an experience that I've also heard of before that I never want to go through. My guess is that the wobble is coincidental and unrelated to the rebuilt pumpkin.

I had a steering wobble.  Replacing the steering head bearings and the front tire fixed it.  The bearings are available from Honda but I wrote down the numbers on them so you might be able to get them from a bearing supplier for a lot less.  The bearing numbers are:

NACHI E 3200 5JS/26
NACHI E 32006J
