That HAS to be a scam.

I simply do NOT believe that.

I'll fly there and ride it home...

I talked to him on the phone this morning and he said that I could come out and take a look at it.  He gave me his address and phone number so.....

I bought mine for 3200.00. It can be done. Some owners care more about getting rid of the bike than the money.

Was going to take money out of savings and turn around and sell it for a little profit.  The bike needed a little more TLC than I was willing to give.  In this area, high desert, bikes need little care to stay looking good.  The seller moved here from the gulf coast and the bike shows it.  Has rust in all the little nooks and crannies.  Wheels need a good polishing, cam covers corroded, windshield is delaminating, other areas the aluminum is showing neglect, some scrapes and a small dent on the front fender, both side covers broken, some clear coat problem on the trunk, and the exhaust headers rusted.  All in all for me too much work and money to make right.  I am sure that he will sell it, his phone was ringing off the hook the whole time I was there.

That sure seems like a little work and a bit of parts shopping, you could have a great I/S for less than $6500.00 (including all the replaced parts). Sounds like a great deal to me!

This one's been listed on and off for awhile, started out like $1800 or $1900 now wants $1500.  Just browsing for a good starter bike for my wife.  Opinions???

I had the Maxim 650 and later a 750.....both were excellent bikes but maybe a bit spunky for a starter bike, maybe not, but they go really good

I just can't figure these people sometimes, especially in todays economical state.  This guy STARTED at nearly $2k for this bike when KBB and NADA's HIGHEST price is $1475.  All over you see people with 20-year old Rebels asking $1500 or more  with "the paint faded... small dent in tank... little rust... etc." when you can get a brand spank-me new one right here at my local dealer for $3800 out the door?  I don't get it.

Last year I bought this 1991 Nighthawk 750 for $2300.00.  It has 12k miles,  new tires, excellent paint, ss brake line, looks like new and runs like it.  I have maintenance records, well taken care of. It's exceptional.

My first bike was an ’84 Yamaha FJ600.  Bought it for $600!   The guy that was selling it had been transferred to Alaska and he was moving in two weeks, he was at the point were he would have taken any offer!  Still runs good, gets 45mpg, nice little cycle.  I’m saving it for my daughter to learn on.

By the way, what was the add for on craigslist?  I’m assuming a cycle…

No, I'm not trying to sell it.  My son, Psychotic Bovine, wants first opportunity to buy it if I would want to sell it.
