We’re running up to Bellaire tomorrow! Staying at ‘Ground Zero’ too! (Getting an unbelievably great rate on the room!) We’ll be there for a Tent Revival at a friends Church in Central Lake. Sure wish we could make it for InZane! Oh well. . . There's always next year!

You're right. . . almost for certain it will be beyond what I'm willing to ride. Oh well.  I hope everyone who's going has a great time.

That sounds awesome, I went to a tent meeting and it was one of the best times I had. The presence of the Lord was there so strong and so many were touched. One half way house had a bunch of guys there and the there were words for them and prayers the music was good and just a real good time. Post how it went when you  come back.

Robert; I suspect many (most?) VRCC members won’t be overly interested in hearing about a Rival Meeting, but they can simply CLOSE this thread before going any further

It was wonderful Brother! We could only be there for two of the days, but we saw two ‘old school,’ Bible thumping, hell & brimstone Preachers! One old boy was a retired Preacher from Texas. . . 70+ years young and he lit it up! Wow! The other old fellow was from here in Michigan and he “preached it” as well! Heard some great old-time Gospel music as well on Tuesday night, followed by fellowship & food afterward!

On a side note; our room at Shanty Creek was infested with spiders! HAHA! I stopped counting all the ones I killed! We got back to the room late, so there was no sense in calling and complaining, plus if there are spiders in one room, most likely they’d be everywhere. I’m just glad my wife didn’t ‘know about it’ until the second day! We still like the place and had a wonderful time . . . The kids working the desk are excited about the VRCC folks coming in!

(Oh. . . I charged our room to the VRCC. I hope that was ok?)

Not a problem, KW, we kept your card number.  I'm guessing we won't come out behind on this one.   Grin

Man . . . Willow, your memory of “postings of VRCC past” is just plain scary! Good lesson for all of us social retards that tap dance (on rare occasions) on the line of civility here! Shocked

Sure wish I was ‘finally’ making it this year. Like to meet most you folks! I hope you have great weather and a better time! Ride safe and remember; Michigan leads the nation in the number of blind handicap drivers. We’d take away their driver licenses, but it may make them feel bad.

BTW - The water temp in the indoor pool was a little warm for a Michigan boy, but it might feel good on those old bones of all you senior citizens that will be there  2funny
