About 2-3 years before the interwebs became populated with chat boards and I had time, I was into varmint hunting big time. Finally got a rifle that would push a 50 gr Nosler ballistic tip at 3970fps without pressure signs that the groups just got tighter the faster I pushed it. ( I did take it to 4008 but no improvement in accuracy so I backed it off) Well, you can hold the scope on with follow through.... and I got into firearms message boards....

Well at 2 in the morning when I found this board and they asked for a nick name I went  Roll Eyes ??? and decided on EngEmt. I am a RR Engineer and up till last December an EMT. I did not think about actually using it in a live situation, again,  Roll Eyes ???! Been debating about changing it, since I am no longer an EMT. Was gonna ask for some suggestions, but then again I was afraid what I might end up with  Shocked uglystupid2 2funny

JDW

Why not EngExEmt?

Last year, when telling the Michigan guys I ride with (the Rogue Riders) about a place we bought on the water in Florida, they asked me if I had seen any alligators. I made the mistake of telling them that was my wife's biggest fear about the place, even though we have yet to see one. Since my name is John, they've been calling me Gator John ever since. Now I've even tagged my wife with Lady Gator.

back when i first met my wife i was an avid body builder/power lifter. was in the gym 5-6 days a week for hours at a day. with a waiste that was 36 and a jacket size of 56 and standing 6'4" and weighing 275 i was not small. one night we were at the white plains marriot and a "gentlman" (not) came over to where we were sitting and requested we move so him and his friend could sit there. when the friend came over i stood up and crossed my arms. our friends could not believe how much bigger i was than this man. the man was lawrence taylor of the giants football team. when my future sister in law heard the story about how i told lawrence taylor that he could not have our seats she called me big d. it has stuck to this day as she still calls me that.

Last summer on the way back from Sturgis, my cousin and I stayed at a family friends place in Minocqua, Wi. Sitting around by the lake one night, we got to talking about this and that and our host asked me where I was born. Most everyone in my family was born in Wisconsin. However, at the time of my birth, my mom and dad were having a little spat, so my mom and my aunt took off for a little "breather"! I suspect they were running away! Well, they got about 50 miles south, which put them in Rockford, IL when I decided i was done being cooped up in that holding pen. Hence, I was born in Rockford. At the end of my story, our host exclaimed, "holy sh!t, you're a GD FIB! "What is that", I asked since I had never heard the phrase; having spent most of my life in Florida and now Tennessee. He told me it stands for- F?@king Illinois B@stard. Apparently, a pejorative term given to Illinois residents who flock to Wisconsin and cause grief, havoc, and destruction during the summer! I liked it so much i adopted the moniker. My family thinks its a hoot!
