I've seen official numbers of 106-ish HP and 120lb ft at the crank. 10 to 15% loss in the drivetrain and you're looking at 90/105 at the wheel. That's what Honda says anyway.

I had an 02 1800R with Stage 2 Modified Exhaust, Desmog and a K&N Air Kit, with PCIII.  Tech Dyno tuned at 96HP / 110ftlbs torque. Tech stated he could get more out of it but I didn't want MPG to go to far into the dirt so I left it at that.   I believe stock is like 86 RWHP or thereabouts.

Dyno'd mine '03 C, came out 92hp. I've seen numbers as high as 106hp with a lot of extras. Mine didn't have any mods to speak of, I did have a Proton 4 intake.

Where did you see those numbers, Honda does not publish official numbers.  I've seen magazine numbers and VTXOA members dyno numbers, but nothing official from Honda.

Hoser,
Is that Dyno from a stock VALK?  I had mine done, stock except for the K&N, came out almost the same.  101 Hp and 99 Ft/lb.

I find myself in the unusual position of agreeing with Anvil. A few years ago, when I purchased a  2006 vtx1800c from a Honda dealer, figures of 106.5 hp and 120 tq were included in the paper work. Exactly what their source was I don't know.

Not quite, drilled rear baffles, piggies cut, truck stacks, grumpy exhaust tips are the only mods.  Do you have a 97?  They are said to make a bit more.   hoser

I've seen lots of numbers on the VTX thrown around, Honda official web page will not show any HP spec's and alot of people have tried to calculate the potential HP the engine could make.  The below was an article that also threw around some numbers that seem more realistic for a stock 1800.  the specs listed are directly off the Honda page except for the HP statement.

Honda introduced the VTX 1800 in 2000. For 2010, Honda offered three different models of the VTX 1800. The 1800N featured classic-cruiser styling with hotrod-retro fenders and cast-aluminum wheels. The1800F had a stripped-down sporty look with a two-piece, gunfighter-style seat and chopped fenders. The 1800T was the touring version of the VTX 1800N; it came equipped with saddlebags, windshield, passenger backrest and studded seat.

Engine Specs
All three 2010 Honda VTX 1800 models shared the same engine, a 1795 cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, SOHC, 52-degree, V-twin-cylinder with three valves per cylinder. Bore and stroke was 101 mm by 112 mm. Compression ratio was 9.0:1. The engine produced 115 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 rpm and 95 horsepower.

Transmission Specs
The transmissions on all three 2010 VTX1800 models were identical five-speeds (one down, four up) with shaft final drive. As with most motorcycles, the VTX1800 cruisers had a wet, multi-plate clutch.

Body
All three VTX 1800 models were built around a steel, double-cradle frame and had identical suspension systems: 45 mm inverted front forks and adjustable, dual rear shock absorbers. All three models also shared braking systems, with dual 296 mm discs with a twin-piston caliper in front and a single 316 mm disc, with a twin-piston caliper in the rear. The 1800N and 1800T each had 150/80R-19 radial front tires and 180/70R-16 radial rear tires. The 1800F was equipped with a 130/70R-18 radial front tire and a 180/55R-18 radial tire in the rear.

Dimensions
The VTX1800N and VTX1800T had a rake of 32 degrees and trail of 163 mm (6.4 inches). They also had a wheelbase of 67.5 inches and seat height of 27.4 inches. Claimed curb weight, with all necessary fluids and a full tank of gas, was 800 lbs. on the VTX1800N and 804 on the VTX1800T. Both models had a fuel capacity of 5.3 gallons. The VTX1800F had a rake of 31.45 degrees and trail of 144 mm (5.7 inches). The VTX1800F had a 65.7-inch wheelbase and seat height of 7.6 inches. Wet weight on the VTX1800F was 774 lbs. with fuel capacity of 4.8 gallons.

I think I first saw the numbers claim in a cycle rag.
