be fast !  plug hole with finger while you slip gskt on plug with other hand and try to be ninja fast.....may only loose a few oz.   Undecided

I started out trying Daniel's idea, but no go...

Roadkill's idea was the winner...
I made like the little guy from Holland who plugged the hole in the dike with his
finger... that would have worked great if the motor wasn't too hot to keep my
finger on it long enough to fumble the crush washer back on the drain plug with
one hand...

I cleaned the drain pan real good, so I put the little bit that came out back in...

Don't know Mike.  Old oil looked like it had a few miles left on it.  I can't even see the wear bars.

FWIW, an oil change shop down the street used a shop vac on the oil filler pipe to accomplish the same thing.  Haven't tried it myself but my son watched them do it.
