At the end of last year's closing ceremonies I volunteered to help out this year in whatever capacity the staff could use me. They've asked me to be in charge of the daily raffle ticket sales during the day under the registration tent and again for about an hour inside during the evenings' activities.
With pointers from Motomama, I've put together a sign-up sheet that consists of 15 two-hour shifts that need two persons each plus an "all (or as many as possible) hands on deck" hour or so each evening. Shifts start at 9:00 am Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and run through approximately 5:00 pm. Friday starts at 11:00 am to allow full participation in the Joe Boyd Memorial Ride.
Motomama and I will open with the first shift each day and RainMaker and I will do the reconciliation at the end of each day.
The first request went only to the three couples who volunteered for raffle ticket sales at the time of their registration. The next two requests went to 1) those registered from Texas, and 2) some of the people with various ties to Texas. Those efforts only filled 9 of the 15 daytime shifts and only partially addressed the evenings. (I still have not heard back from several people with either a yea or nay. ???

So, here's your chance: I'm casting a wider net. If you are going to InZane, visit the Texas Board, and have not yet volunteered in any capacity, please consider signing up for couple of hours or a couple of shifts by replying to this thread.
