There aren't many K-Marts left in these parts, but I went o to one yesterday because they sell Purolator's Pure 1 Filters. I was happy to see that not only were the filters on sale ($5.30 for the Valk size - PL14610) but Mobil 1 was too. Unlike Wal Mart, K-Mart still carries the 15W-50 weight, and it was on sale this week for $5.79. I know there are many fans of this oil on the board who are disappointed that Wal Mart dropped it, so I thought I'd pass this along.

Hi. I need to know if the 5-quart jug of Mobil 1 15w-50 is going to be available at Walmart. I've been checking for the last two months and have had no luck. Is the 15w-50 5-quart jug discontinued?

Answer:
While Mobil 1 15W-50 in five-quart bottles isn't currently available at Walmart stores, due to popular request, the product will return to Walmart locations this summer. Expect to begin seeing the bottles at select locations from July through August, with a full nationwide distribution in March 2012. |

And for all you PureOne filter fans...keep your eyes open on Advance Auto's website...2 weeks ago I bought 9 filters (3 for the car, 3 for the Valk, 3 for the truck) at $4.00 each. Picked them up at the local store, so no shipping charges.

I would love to but I can't find it. Where are you getting it? I can consistently find it at O'Reilly's auto parts for $29 and I just saw some gallons at Walmart for $25 |

It sure is good to hear that the 15W-50 will be returning to Wal Mart. With the engine oil also lubricating the tranny I like the higher viscosity.
